Selected KOR Fanfiction

Kimagure Orange College
One of the oldest and largest KOR fanfiction series, KOC is the story of Kyousuke's
and Madoka's adventures as they enter college. This series does a superb job of capturing the original flavor of KOR.
The series has 35 episodes, and more episodes are on the way.
KOR-II
This six-part series centers around Kurumi, Manami, Komatsu, and Hatta,
as the twins seek more serious romantic relationships and the two notorious hentai
seek to be taken more seriously.
Fugawari Orange Street
A new fanfiction series focused on teenaged Kazuya, Kyousuke's cousin.
KOR2: Another Day
(FOLLOWUP LINK DOWN)
Another fanfiction series based on the exploits of cousin Kazuya.
HardKOR
A fanfiction taking a very serious look at Hikaru following the end of the manga. Not particularly whimsical, but well-written.
Warning: Contains adult themes and language.
The Dance Of Shiva
Although this crossover series by well-known fanfic author John Biles focuses on several anime series at once (including Bubblegum Crisis, Tenchi Muyo, Sailor Moon, and Patlabor), it has a great subplot involving the Kasuga clan -
and you'll never guess who Hikaru-chan's husband is! Very cool!
Orange Marmalade
Another crossover series - an interesting mix of KOR and Marmalade Boy... What do you get when you cross Ayukawa Madoka with Koishikawa Miki? Well, it's not quite "Miki The Pick," but what Scott Schimmel has created is a well-written series which combines the "blended family" aspects of MB with the "psychic family" parts of KOR, with a generous helping of "secret romance" from both. A fun read.

Is In Production Now!

Updated on September 11, 1998

In case you haven't heard the news yet, AnimEigo will be producing a special limited edition set of the KOR TV series - subtitled in English - on laserdisc and VHS tapes. The latest word from Robert Woodhead, CEO of AnimEigo, is that the first half of the set (episodes 1-24) is ready for mastering, with the studio work to be done September 17-22.

And to quote Robert: "As compensation for the delay, there will be a little extra something included in the shipment; a little something that will allow KOR subscribers to discreetly flaunt that they are one of the few, the proud, and the fiscally solvent. And no, don't ask, you'll have to wait until you get the shipment to find out what it is!"

If you are planning to sign up for this set but haven't done so yet, time is running out! The cutoff for ordering the sets will be when AnimEigo has to place the LD pressing order. The LD sets are $480 and the VHS sets are $420, so sign up now, because this is your last chance. Call AnimEigo at 1-800-24ANIME to sign up and make your payment. (And check out AnimEigo's KOR TV page if you need further information.)
